“‘The decision is announced by messengers, the holy ones declare the verdict, so that the living may know that the Most High is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone he wishes and sets over them the lowliest of people.’ (Daniel 4.17 NIV)
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. (Romans 8.28-29 KJV)
He is sovereign; rules in the affairs of men; and can choose the rulers to deal with as he chooses. I believe that one of the chosen vessels that God has decided to set over others is you. I have learned with the passage of time that when God sends you to a place, he sends you to a particular person. When you are ministering, the one steps over the line and receives your ministry. He doesn’t need to be prompted to say amen. The chosen vessel that God has decided to use to turn the tables against the enemy is you.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, (Ephesians 1.3-5 KJV)
God equips you with every ability to withstand the onslaught of the devil. He chose us before the creation of the world. It was before the creation of both the seen and the unseen, so, you are older than every created thing. So, declare to yourself: “I am a chosen one of God.” You are an ambassador of God and you enjoy the immunity of heaven so wherever you go, this God begins to manifest. Hence, your destiny is not in the hands of men. That is why it is written that no weapon fashioned against you shall prosper. It is also the reason I know you cannot die prematurely and nobody can thwart your vision unless you allow it.
But which of them has stood in the council of the Lord to see or to hear his word? Who has listened and heard his word? (Jeremiah 23.18 NIV)
Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, Eye had not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. (1 Corinthians 2.6-9 KJV)
The thing that has never entered into the heart of any man, God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. That is why 1 Samuel 10.6 says the Spirit of God will come upon you and you will become another man. May this be your portion. That is what the Spirit of God Does. That is what is called divine encounter. When this happens, you metamorphose into the realm of the superstars. You begin to see like Daniel and become as fast as a gazelle.
The message I’m presenting you is an encounter with divinity. When God encounters you, he begins to order your steps and realign whatever is out of order. That is why I can assure you that your end will be more glorious than your beginning.
There was a man born by an adulterous father and they were living in the voodoo shrine but God looked down and decided according to his pleasure and will to do as he pleased so his name was changed from Abram to Abraham. That was his destiny change. God didn’t end there. Anytime you marry and your fruitfulness tarries, it is a sign that God is preparing to bring something out of it. May it happen to you. Out of this situation came Isaac whose name was given before he was born by divine encounter. That is why he prospered in a time of famine. And out of Isaac came two persons: Jacob and Esau.
He is the God who can come from heaven and look at a vile sinner and make him a saint; the God who can look upon an old man and make him fruitful; the God who can warn a king who is about to take the wife of his servant. So anytime you invoke the name of the God of Abraham over somebody who has taken something that belongs to you, that the person is a dead man. The God of Jacob is the one who overlooks your shortcomings and lifts you up to the highest realm.
One day Moses went to the far side of the desert. I don’t know where life has taken you. But I declare to you that your life is about to take a U-turn. Suddenly he heard “Moses! Moses!” and wondered who knew his name on that desert. Then God told him to put his dry rod on the ground. And that dry rod became something with flesh. May every dry thing in your life put on flesh.
In the same way, an angel appeared to Gideon and called him a mighty man of valor but he doubted it and tested the messenger with a request. From today, because you have encountered him, every request of yours is granted.
I would like to conclude with our main scripture for the week. How did Elisha become Elijah? He was plowing with oxen and was with the last one while the man of God, Elijah, had been threatened by a woman. This was after Elijah had confronted 850 demonized people. It is in your weakest moment that you are the strongest.
Every divine encounter results in destiny change. This morning you have encountered the word. Because of that, whether you pray or not, your destiny is changed. He met Peter and after he had been a fisher of fishes he became a fisher of men. He met the mad man of Gadara and, after that, he became a preacher in Decapolis. After he met the woman at the well, she also became an evangelist and turned around a whole city.
