PENTSOS Trains 66 Members at Ashaiman Area

Pentecost Social Services (PENTSOS) recently organized a skills training program, particularly targeting members from Home and Urban Missions (HUM). This training equipped 66 participants with various catering skills, including making bread, spring rolls, samosas, shortbread biscuits, chin-chin, pancakes, meat pies, coated nuts, wizard doughnuts, sausage rolls, and more. Participants also learned how to prepare liquid soap. The three-day training provided an opportunity for members without prior trades to start their own businesses. To support job creation, 25 less privileged beneficiaries received start-up items such as gas ovens, frying pans, scales, rolling pins, flour, margarine, sugar, and cooking oil. Elder Frank Nsiah Adutwum, Operations Coordinator of PENTSOS, encouraged the beneficiaries to utilize their new skills, as they could lead to significant opportunities and financial success. PENTSOS is dedicated to transforming lives and empowering youth with employable skills. This initiative aligns with their strategic goal of creating 20,000 sustainable jobs for the youth by 2028. The training was facilitated by Maame Sika Mensa from the Pentecost Vocational Training Institute and Mrs. Esther Molly Ako-Addo from the Alajo district. PENTSOS extends its gratitude to Apostle A.N.Y. Kumi-Larbi, Area Head of Ashaiman, and Pastors Solomon Anderson (Ashaiman Sector HUM Pastor) and Shadrack Addo Arnan (Ashaiman Area HUM Coordinator) for their support.
